IT’S FINALLY HERE: We LAUNCH on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2019!
WOW, we’re thrilled! SO MANY people and organizations have helped us and we appreciate every bit of help we’ve received.
And, we’re planning a PARTY!!! Our GRAND OPENING CELEBRATION will be Friday, October 11th, 2019 from 4:30-6:30pm. Please join us for this happy event!
Here’s what we’ve been up to:
- Founding Members – Thank you to our 13 Founding Members for believing in our vision! Everyone is listed on our website! It’s not too late to be a Founding Member and to receive our discounted membership.
- $$$ – We’re using STRIPE to collect the monthly membership dues and it’s working!! It was THRILLING last week to have money coming in to Thrive’s bank account! Wooo hooo!
- Website – Our website is up and running! Thank you, Eliza Porter, for going in with little experience and producing a beautiful and functional site. Please check it out HERE!
- Behind the scenes – We finalized the member agreement (contract), purchased business insurance, and started using TEAMUP to book therapy rooms at Thrive.
- Saving $$ – We’re launching Thrive on a budget. Our founder and her husband kicked in some startup funds and decided against taking out a loan. Though the furniture is gently used, we don’t have a large monthly loan payment to burden the cash flow. Plus, members have donated time, furniture and other supplies to help us get ready!
- Furnishing, Decorating and Work Parties – The offices have been cleaned, furnished, decorated and beautified for our members! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO CAME TO OUR WORK PARTIES!!!
Here’s what we’re working on now:
- More Founding Members – There’s still space for more Founding Members. Tell your therapist friends about Thrive!
- Crowdfunding Effort – We’ve initiated work with the Idea Fund of Erie & QuickStarters through Mercyhurst University to plan and implement a crowdfunding strategy! Stay tuned for our launch (expected to be in the next month or so) and be a part of the ‘coworking for therapists’ movement in Erie!
- Grand Opening Celebration – Mark your calendar for Friday, October 11, 2019 from 4:30-6:30pm. Although we are officially opening our doors next week, we’re taking our time to spread the word and plan a celebratory event! We hope you (and your friends & family) will join us to celebrate the beginning of a great asset to the Erie community!
- Sponsorship Opportunity – We’ll be looking for a few businesses to sponsor our Grand Opening Celebration. Contact Penny at (814) 746-4307 if you’d like to sponsor.
- Clients – On our first day of business (next Tuesday!) we will be seeing clients at Thrive! If you are looking for a Therapist to see, check out our practicing therapists HERE!
