Deonte Ford is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with extensive experience in child welfare, juvenile justice, Veteran-focused care, and trauma therapy. He currently works full time with Veterans with complex medical conditions. Deonte is passionate about providing support and resources to those in need.
Deonte brings a wealth of professional experience and personal life insights to his practice, making him relatable and personable to many clients. He specializes in working with individuals with complex trauma and believes in the importance of representation, especially within the Black and Brown communities. Deonte hopes his presence at Thrive will encourage more clients from these communities to seek therapy.
Deonte sees clients across all age groups, from children and adolescents to adults and the elderly, addressing issues such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief and loss, relationship issues, medical conditions, complex trauma, and personality disorders.
Through joining Thrive, Deonte looks forward to interacting with like-minded clinicians and new clients to further serve his local community. He has over three years of experience utilizing evidence-based modalities, including CBT, CPT, and EMDR, to help clients overcome hardships and promote healthier living.
