Doug is a Founding Member at Thrive.
He works primarily in private practice while also maintaining a role in alternative education for high school students.
Doug focuses on trauma related issues, addiction, anxiety, depression, and life adjustment difficulties. He maintains a holistic approach incorporating cognitive, experiential, and mindfulness based approaches. He has also been working in addictions counseling for the past five years.
As a therapist, Doug enjoys “providing the opportunity to genuinely relate with others in safe, non-judgmental way. I find it meaningful helping others build trust and take emotional risks, opening up to greater understanding and acceptance of self.”
Doug’s main goal in joining Thrive “is to gain knowledge in building private practice. Additionally, to sustain enthusiasm through sharing helpful information with colleagues.”
