Michael Feldman is a renowned Somatic Therapist, supporting people searching for harmony within their own Mind-Body connection with skillful touch, thoughtful movement, and breath awareness. With 35 years of experience, he believes past trauma, repetitive behavior, and the stress of daily living, when unaddressed, lead to pain, injury, or disease. Michael has great intuitive and intellectual skill revealing these patterns, taking into account both personal and physical history, and finds resolve unwinding them and crafting individual blueprints to live a more conscious and comfortable life. After completing his undergraduate degree on a four year football scholarship from Syracuse University, Michael began his wellness career in 1988 as a Fitness Coach, was certified by The Rolf Institute of Structural Integration in 1992, and Pilates, MELT Method, yoga, Cross Fit, Feldenkrais, Motor Control, and a wide range of Osteopathic and pain science based trainings have occupied his ongoing quest for finding the proper know how to restore well being to his clients. Michael has also presented his creative concepts to audiences including the AMTA National Convention, Rolf Institute Annual Meeting, Yoga Journal Conference, Reebok, Adidas, and Yoga Works.
Michael typically treats clients who have a desire to stay active and pain/injury free. While he usually works with clients ages 45-65, he is comfortable working with all ages.
Clients who reach out to Michael are generally dealing with chronic pain, discomfort, or restricted movement, and have exhausted western medical options. Sometimes clients are also searching for a deeper mind/body connection, or are simply curious and exploring.
