Miranda L. Galbreath MA, MA, LPC is a member of Thrive and a sex therapist focusing on issues of sex, sexuality and gender.
Miranda collaborates with adults via individual and relationship therapy to work toward sexual safety, wellness, and pleasure.
Miranda collaborates with clients to work on concerns related to low desire, desire differences in relationships, genital pain or functional concerns, healing from sexual trauma, sexual behavior that feels out of control (sometimes referred to as sex addiction), sexual self esteem and body image, change of life issues (such as returning to sex after pregnancy or coping with sexual after a medical diagnosis, coming to terms with gender or sexuality,, exploring kink and polyamory and more.
Miranda says about her work, “Most of us have been taught not to talk about sex and our bodies. I believe that everyone is a sexual being, and that sexual expression is a healthy part of all of our lives.” She adds, “I enjoy creating a safe, nonjudgmental, open space for people to have necessary but often challenging conversations about the things we’ve been taught it’s not okay to talk about.”
As a member of AASECT (American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists), Miranda is committed to continuously working to expand her knowledge and skills in supporting folks to achieve sexual wellness. She currently holds an International Certificate in Sexology from the Buehler Institute and a Certificate in Integrative Couples Sex Therapy from the Integrative Sex Therapy Institute.
