Thank you for your interest in Thrive! Here are some highlights from the past few weeks:
- Strengthening Community – We’ve hosted several “get-to-know Thrive” events and they’ve been a great tool in the development of Thrive! The conversations and feedback are key in our planning, and have prompted great discussions already. Sean Fedorko, tour guide extraordinaire, provided a tour of Radius Co.Work, Erie’s first coworking space. We have more of these events coming up in May (see below).
Check out our first event!
- Business Planning – Penny continues to meet with Gannon’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC). They have been instrumental in looking at the fine details and guiding us through this journey.
- Picking a Location – We have signed an Option to Lease for a suite in the Modern Tool building in Downtown Erie. We now have 3 months to work out details and potentially sign a lease. During this time it is key to solidify the core community for Thrive!
What we are working on now:
- Founding Members – We’re gathering a list of local therapists who want to be Founding Members of Thrive. They’ll get immediate and long term membership discounts, and they’ll have a big voice in Thrive’s development. Let me know if you want to be a Founding Member!
- Website Development – Gannon’s SBDC is helping us to create a more professional website (www.ThriveTherapySpace.com) and to develop a logo for Thrive! Stay tuned for those changes!
- Growing Community – PLEASE JOIN US!!!

- Researching Potential Funding Sources – We are still researching two possibilities:
- Erie’s $5,000 Flagship Fund grant
- A low interest loan from the city to help with build out costs
- Working with a Contractor & Architect – The office space we have tentatively leased has 5 great offices but walls must be moved to create “The Commons” (the therapist community room) and a client waiting room.
Thank you for taking an interest in Thrive Therapy Space and the wonderful community of therapists we are building.
